Mode of Action
Orion acts as a powerful Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase (PPO) inhibitor. Oxyfluorfen disrupts the weed's cell membrane by causing a massive accumulation of porphyrins in the presence of light. This leads to rapid lipid peroxidation and the total breakdown of cell walls. When emerging weed seedlings come into contact with the treated soil layer, they experience rapid desiccation, necrosis, and death.
