Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ is a stunning, highly sought-after variety of Syngonium podophyllum, adored for its vibrant variegation and playful bursts of pink. Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, this cultivar belongs to the Araceae family and embodies the perfect mix of elegance and tropical exuberance.

The arrow-shaped leaves feature an ever-changing marbling of blush pink, rose, and cream tones splashed across a base of lush green. Each leaf is unique — some heavily marked with pink patches, others delicately speckled — giving the plant a dynamic, painterly quality. Compact and easy to grow, Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ makes a striking statement whether displayed as a tabletop accent, a trailing feature, or a climbing specimen supported by a moss pole.

Delicate in appearance but surprisingly resilient, this plant adds warmth, creativity, and colour to any interior — a true living artwork that evolves with every new leaf.

Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ – Care Guide

Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light, which enhances its pink variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can fade or burn the delicate pink tones. Too little light may cause the pink patches to turn green. East- or north-facing windows are ideal, or use filtered light in brighter rooms.

Watering

Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. Reduce watering slightly in winter but never allow the plant to dry out completely. Always ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Temperature and Humidity

Temperature: Prefers warmth between 18–28 °C and dislikes sudden temperature changes or cold drafts. Avoid temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: High humidity (60–80%) helps maintain bright pink variegation and healthy foliage. Mist regularly, use a humidifier, or group with other tropical plants to increase moisture in the air.

Soil and Potting

Use a light, well-draining, moisture-retentive mix — compost combined with perlite and coco coir is ideal. This mimics the loose, airy soil of its native rainforest floor. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the mix and encourage steady growth.

Feeding

Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. Over-fertilising can cause leaf burn or reduce variegation. Pause feeding during autumn and winter when growth slows.

Pruning and Maintenance

Trim any leggy or damaged stems to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Rotate the plant regularly to ensure even light distribution. Wipe the leaves gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and highlight their colour and texture.

Growth and Maturity

A moderate grower, Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ typically reaches 30–60 cm in height and spread indoors. As it matures, it can begin to climb or trail depending on how it’s trained. New leaves often emerge more pink and become greener as they age, creating an ever-changing gradient of colour.

Common Issues

  • Faded pink: Insufficient light or over-fertilisation.

  • Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.

  • Brown tips: Low humidity or inconsistent watering.

  • Pests: Occasionally susceptible to spider mites, aphids, or thrips — treat with neem oil and maintain humidity.

Background and Benefits

Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ is a cultivated hybrid of Syngonium podophyllum, bred for its distinctive variegation and delicate pink hues. Like other Syngoniums, it’s considered a “living symbol of growth and renewal,” as its leaves gradually change shape and tone as it matures.

This plant not only beautifies interiors but also purifies the air, helping to remove common indoor toxins. It’s mildly toxic if ingested, so should be kept out of reach of pets and small children.

Quick Care Summary

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid direct sun

  • Water: Keep soil lightly moist; allow top few cm to dry

  • Temperature: 18–28 °C; avoid below 15 °C

  • Humidity: High (60–80%)

  • Soil: Well-draining, moisture-retentive mix – compost, perlite, coco coir

  • Feed: Every 4–6 weeks in spring/summer

  • Growth: 30–60 cm; arrow-shaped green leaves splashed with pink variegation

⚠️ Toxicity note: Mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested; may cause mouth or skin irritation.

Styling Tip

Display Syngonium ‘Pink Splash’ in a white, gold, or pastel-toned pot to accentuate its soft pink hues. It pairs beautifully with deeper-toned foliage such as Philodendron ‘Micans’ or Zamioculcas zamiifolia ‘Raven’ for striking contrast. Perfect for shelves, desks, or plant stands, it adds a touch of feminine elegance and tropical luxury to modern interiors. Train it up a moss pole for height or let it trail gracefully for a softer, cascading effect.

This monitor is spectacular for the price. I am very pleased with it.
    Size: 27 Inch
It arrived in tact and has zero blemishes or dead pixels. That's saying something when you have this many pixels too. The Freesync works great, it's fairly bright and the colors are amazing. They need to be detuned quite a lot since the gamut is way higher than most content is created for. Gaming is fantastic. I do not seem to have the advertised 1080P high FPS mode though. Perhaps they crossed up some of the promotional information for a different model. Still, I am very much enjoying 160Hz at 4k. I am playing through games again just to see them so clearly, and that's going from a 2k monitor of the same size. This display is superior. I wish the power button that's modeled to look like a joystick actually was one, don't be caught off guard by that. It's just a button. I knew that when I bought it but still. Kinda... iffy to make it look like one. I mounted the monitor on an arm. It weighs very little so it was easy. I never used the included stand, but it's very sturdy and I love that is flips vertically too. The headphone jack works nicely for my powered speakers and it switches between display port and HDMI correctly. My last monitor had to be restarted each time I went back to Display Port to get audio back. This monitor at the price I paid is insanely good. I'd been waiting for years for a good 4K panel with high refresh rate at 27". By far my favorite monitor size. I have zero intention of changing or upgrading from this panel until μLED is finally available. If this panel dies, I will get another until then.

    Great with one annoyance
Very nice + hi-res. Each pixel is sharp thanks, I presume, to IPS. One criticism: there's no way to tell whether it's supposed to be 'on', except by seeing a picture. Very frustrating when the graphics card and the monitor at startup both kind of go: "Are you on? No? Then I'll turn back off." for what seems like 2 seconds and you have to try to guess whether the monitor is actually on. You can look down the slots at the back for lights, but one that's easier to see would be nice. Anyway, as you'll have seen, it has a literal 15:10 aspect ratio (even better than 16:10) so this is a rare monitor that's better for documents than the 16:9 monitors that are made for movies. I think the monitor may be a little small for ~4K, but you can't complain for the price. Would buy again, but please, give it an 'on' light.

I works fine so far as work display, not the cheapest but metal stand legs and overall good quality
Except the tiny stereo speakers that are a joke , just marketing since they are utterly useless as volume is so low. The 3 or 4 inputs available is great addition. The panel input buttons on the side works ergonomically when changing inputs and brightness (you will be changing brightness a lot during the day, trust me. It is not very bright but with 100%brightness is barely usable in low light indoor, at night it needs to go down to 25 ~20% instead. The images, (text) is crisp since 4K+ and extra lines gives more screen space for working , not the ideal format to watch movies as you know.Any case, I like it and recommend it. Color gamut and HDR 10 is just marketing but for text display and working space , works fine

Need to set 60Hz manually - otherwise "No Signal"
    Size: 34
Works great as an office monitor - however the HDMI connection defaults to 3440x1440 at 100Hz and the monitor treats that as "No Signal" - it didn't actually work until I went into the display settings and changed it to 60Hz manually. The manual doesn't mention this defect at all, and I have no idea how a non-technical user would know to try this. The size is perfect for office work, especially compared to a 27" monitor which always feels just a little bit too small. The image quality is identical to a more expensive LG 27" monitor that I have next to it (it's a 4K running at 1440p to match pixel density). I don't use the speaker so I don't care about the sound quality. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on gaming usage. The package includes VESA mount standoffs and even a screwdriver, so I was able to mount it to a monitor arm just with what was in the box! It's too bad that I couldn't order it without a stand, I hate to just throw that part away.

A Great Monitor: The Dell UltraSharp U4025QW Delivers
I recently invested in the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW and I am very happy with my choice. For anyone involved in creative/productivity type work like audio and video editing, spreadsheets, etc., this monitor won’t disappoint. The color and clarity are visually stunning. The 5K2K WUHD resolution on the 40-inch screen makes every detail pop, and the text is crystal clear, it makes a huge difference during long editing sessions. Videos look incredibly rich, and I'm noticing details in my footage I hadn't seen before. The 40” size is perfect for my work. The ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio provides an enormous amount of screen real estate. I can have my editing timelines, mixer boards, and reference windows open all at the same time without constantly going back and forth between windows. The built-in hub functionality is also a plus for this monitor. The assortment of extra ports are incredibly convenient. It is a large investment but it’s a quality product. Highly recommended.
